New Discovery Passage
Off-Trail "New Discovery Passage" - August 2007
The "New Discovery" section was discovered in 1999 by Gordon Smith, Gary Berdeaux and members of the Cave Research Foundation. Since discovery, this section of cave passage has only been visited a few times for scientific study, mapping and photography. This passage will remain under stringent conservation protection to safeguard the many delicate formations and paleontological resources.
